East Elementary "Poetry Out-Loud"

Camrie & Madison both qualified to compete in the
Poetry Out-loud Contest at their school today!
They both did really good despite the
butterflies in their tummies!

Star of the Week!

Camrie was STAR OF THE WEEK last week.  This means that she got to feed "Homer - the guine pig" his daily carrot.  She was also Mrs. Betts special classroom helper all week.  She also had a poster that we had created earlier in the year on display.  It told everyone her favorite color, favorite food, family, friends, pets, etc...

Everyone's pretty well moved in . . .

(look quick - it will not be this clean again for awhile!)

The girls are sharing our old room.

It feels good to have everyone moved.  I'm still working on organizing the sewing machine, toy, treadmill etc...room.  I'll let you see it when it is organized better!

Happy Birthday Connor!

Connor is such a special kid!
Full of funny stories and enthusiasm!
Over the Christmas Holiday he turned 12!  So many first when you turn 12.  Mutual Activities and Priesthood (and accompanying responsibilities) are a big part of turning 12 for him!
We hope it was a Happy Birthday and an amazing year for you, Connor.  We love you!

You don't remember Connor, but it was a little rough getting you here.  But once you were here and part of our family, life has never been the same.  You have accomplished a lot of amazing things in your first 12 year of life.  You are so intelligent and such an example to your younger siblings.  We think the next twelve years will be even more special!

Christmas Break 2009

Our cousins from Texas were visiting for a couple of weeks and Michelle came out with her kids for a weekend.  We packed in a ton of fun.  Lots of great pictures.  Here are some highlights!

We spent a couple of days at Grandma & Grandpa Snows playing games, eating food, and enjoying each others company.

Monday afternoon was spent at the Rec Center in Vernal.
The kids all love to climb rock wall for starters and then move onto the pool!

We went sledding at Constitution Park a couple of different times . . .

Good thing Camrie's not driving.  I don't think she can see where she is going.

In between all these pictures . . . I forgot to take pictures of ice skating on Miller's Ice Rink and New Year's Eve Celebration (at least til 10 p.m.)  I think some of the kids made it longer.  We also had a handful of other get togethers with friends and family.  I think by the end of the two week break some of us were ready for school to start!

Christmas 2009

This is what Christmas morning looks like when you
recieve a lump of coal and a letter from Santa
expressing sadness that he was unfortunately
unable to "check his list twice"...

Santa did leave something for each of them with Mom & Dad.
And if they had inadvertantley been placed on the wrong list
then all would be well...they indeed have been pretty good
kids with very minor mess-ups.
Looks like they're OK for another year!

It was a really nice Christmas.
Everyone recieved some special gifts.
We are indeed very blessed.
